A Summer Wedding at Norton Fields - Luxury Barn Wedding

It’s a scorcher of a day, so the Windows are rolled down and I’m blasting out my summer jams playlist, consisting of mainly sad Conor Oberst songs, though to be honest my playlist probably doesn’t change much between seasons… Either way, the sun is shining and I’m happily navigating the winding rural roads of Norton-Juxta-Twycross on the way to Norton Fields, a beauty of a Wedding Venue if you’re looking for something more rural.

At the end of the road, You’ll know you’ve almost arrived as you’re met with a neatly placed old hay cart with Norton Fields scribed on the back.. Obviously I stopped the car, jumped out and rattled off a few frames both on 35mm Film and Digital to capture the essence of the place.

Driving up towards the Farm, are some of the cottages, of which you can stay in before/after the wedding and the converted Barn which has been done in the best possible taste, keeping the rural feel and met with a modern luxury that would likely have Kevin McCloud praising in his usual riddles. I bloody loved it anyway!

I meet up with Lucy who’s having her hair and Make up done in one of the beautiful farm cottages, we chat about the day and how everything will unfold and if there’s anything I can do to help with any last minute preparations before I head off for a walk around to explore the scenery and capture some establishing shots of this place!

inside the main barn, I met Jilly from Essentially Floral, who was placing the finishing touches to the Flowers adorning the walls, tables AND the cake, (a chocolate fudge brownie cake , I should add!!!) By none other than the awesome Nat from Ruby Lou's.

The Barn is a big open space, wide with windows down the entire side, I Love the fact that they’ve kept this space open and airy, with thin white drapes being used to separate into sections for the ceremony, it makes it feel intimate but you can still see through the drapes. They were lovely to make photos of, they flowed in the breeze, creating a sort of calm, quiet.

Joe soon arrived with his Groomsmen and parents and
after a chat about how great this place was, we got some portraits before the hoards of guests started to arrive in an explosion of colourful outfits. Everyone looking absolutely incredible.

I went back up to the Bridal suite to get some photos of Lucy and the dress before we went in to Wedding Ceremony mode!

As weddings go, Joe and Lucy’s day had a super relaxed feel where they wanted to feel comfortable and celebrate with their closest friends and family. Norton Fields provided that with their amazing team, keeping things running smoothly whilst keeping everyone entertained, watered and well fed on one of the nicest summer days of the year!
