I’m Luke, a photographer based in Nottinghamshire, often spotted lugging a concoction of film cameras around the UK at weddings.
I’ve been photographing weddings for several years now, after spending a lot of my life wrapped up in music. Writing, recording, touring, selling instruments, and being around people who care about the importance of creativity. I think that background has carried over into how I approach weddings. I’m not really interested in copy-and-paste version of things. I’m drawn to weddings with character. Good music, good food, weird little details, creative people, and a day that feels like it belongs to you rather than the wedding industry.
My presence on the day is calm and low-key. I pay attention without taking over. I’ll guide when it helps, but I’m not there to turn your wedding into a production. Most of the time, the best photographs happen when people feel comfortable enough to forget about the camera entirely.
I shoot both film and digital because I like what each brings to the story. Digital gives me the freedom to move quickly with the day. Film brings a slower, more tactile feeling. A bit of grit and imperfection.
What you get back is a set of images that feel honest to the day itself. The atmosphere, the people, the quiet bits, the chaos, and all the small things that end up meaning more than you expected.

Weddings can be beautifully unpredictable. My role is to move through the day quietly and confidently, helping things flow without adding unnecessary pressure.
When people feel comfortable, the photographs follow naturally.
Attention to those in-between moments
Some of the most meaningful photographs happen just outside around the edges. A glance, a conversation, a small reaction that might otherwise pass unnoticed.
