Winstanley House, Leicestershire - Charlotte & Jonny

There’s nothing better than re-connecting with old friends and getting all nostalgic about those raucous old times! It was an absolute honour to capture Charlotte and Jonny’s shindig at Winstanley House in Leicester.

On a beautifully sunny day in the heart of Leicester, the air filled with the sweet aroma of fresh flowers supplied by the local and equally awesome Bloom Project. Winstanley House, is a stunning estate that combines the best of old-world charm and modern brutalist luxury, So pretty much providing a venue that’s suitable for a multitude of styles and party size. It's a hidden gem that perfectly encapsulates the personalities and values of Jonny and Charlotte.

Sharing a love of great food, mid 2000’s emo bands and their obvious amounts of affection to each other. They wanted their wedding day to reflect their passions and personality. Winstanley House was the perfect setting.

The ceremony took place in the Pavilion, with the glass doors opening directly out into the gardens surrounded by lush greenery, feeling nice and secluded, you wouldn’t guess that you’re in the city! The weather was definitely on our side as all our beaut guests spent time out in the Gardens soaking up all that summer weather.

As the sun began to set, we made time for some couples portraits around the venue’s grounds before heading back to the Pavilion to party the night away with The Indie Killers providing one heck of a set. Playing some old bangers and of course some mid 2000’s anthems that had us all bustling on the dancefloor! Hearts were worn on sleeves, hugs were had and tears were cried. Just as it should well be!

It was an absolute joy and privilege to capture Charlotte and Jonny’s wedding day. One that I definitely won’t be forgetting about any time soon!
